Disney Channel’s #1 series for preschoolers, “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse,” races into primetime with a new special, “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Road Rally,” premiering TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 7 (7:00 – 7:50 p.m., ET/PT). In the music-filled event of the Emmy-nominated series, Mickey and pals rev up their engines for an exciting Road Rally around the Clubhouse, one which includes Professor Von Drake’s helpful new invention, the Clubhouse Rescue Truck. “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Road Rally” will also be available for purchase on DVD from Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment day of premiere.
On Tuesday, August 31, a full-length preview becomes available on Disney Channel On Demand. In conjunction with the television premiere, the special will be available on iTunes and Xbox Live, and will be simulcast on mobile providers Sprint TV, FloTV and MobiTV. Beginning Wednesday, September 8, the special will be available on mobile VOD for AT&T CV, Sprint TV and Verizon V Cast customers. In addition, www.PlayhouseDisney.com/Mickey will launch “Clubhouse Rally Raceway.”
In “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Road Rally,” Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Pluto, along with Clubhouse pals Toodles, Pete, Clarabelle Cow, and Chip and Dale embark on the first annual Clubhouse road rally. The friends selects their favorite mode of transportation, with Goofy getting the opportunity to ride in Professor Von Drake’s latest invention, the Clubhouse Rescue Truck. The race kicks into high gear, leading the gang on a journey through sandy desserts, snow-covered mountains and lush tropical jungles in search of clues. During the race, Toodles feels unappreciated when the Rescue Truck gets all the praise for helping out, and he sadly leaves the group just when he’s needed most. It is up to Mickey and pals to reunite the team and make it to the finish line.
The special features five new songs – “Rock and Ride and Rally,” “It’s Fun to Go Ridin’,” “Mickey’s Marker Song,” “Goofy’s Rescue Truck Tribute,” and “I’m a Friend, You’re a Friend” – all performed by Mickey and the gang.
In October 2009, the series’ first-ever primetime special, “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Choo Choo Express,” ranked as TV’s #1 program in its timeslot among its targeted Kids 2-5 demo. A family viewing event, 54% of Adults 18-49 viewed the event with a preschooler.
Combining the rich heritage of Disney’s beloved classic characters with state-of-the-art CG animation, “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” introduces a whole new generation of preschoolers to Mickey and his pals.
