Pixar films has announced that score veteran Thomas Newman will return as the composer for next year’s film The Good Dinosaur.
Newman has worked with Pixar twice before – being the composer for both Finding Nemo and WALL-E. He has been nominated for 11 Oscars, including his work on Finding Nemo, WALL-E, Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events and most recently Skyfall.
To be released in May of 2014, The Good Dinosaur is a hilarious heartfelt tale that tells the story of what if the cataclysmic asteroid that forever changed life on Earth actually missed the planet and completely and giant dinosaurs never became extinct. The film will be directed by Bob Peterson (UP/Finding Nemo) and produced by John Walker (The Incredibles).
