Two more businesses in Downtown Disney at the Disneyland Resort have closed due to the pandemic. Sprinkles Cupcakes and Asian Street Eats have closed and we aren’t sure for how long.
Downtown Disney still charging $10 for parking with limited dining and shopping open
Even though the theme parks at the Disneyland Resort are still closed, the Downtown Disney District reopened last summer. The shopping and dining locations on Buena Vista Street in Disney California Adventure reopened in November as well. With the COVID-19 numbers remaining high in California and stay-at-home orders in place, businesses are having a difficult time staying open.
Disney in talks to move some of its Disneyland business operations to Orlando
At first, Sprinkles was still operating under the stay-at-home order even though food is not allowed to be consumed on Disneyland property. Now, the Disneyland website shows Sprinkles as temporarily unavailable.
The Asian Street Eats closure seems to be more permanent. This quick-service dining location was set up outside of Rainforest Cafe but has now been removed. Take a look:
Asian Street Eats is no longer listed on the Disneyland website so we assume this closure is more permanent.
These are just two more businesses in Southern California that have been affected by the pandemic. There is still no news on when or if the Disneyland Resort theme parks will get to reopen. We will update when any information is released!
