Next Tuesday, the 9th, is Mardi Gras and no one knows how to do a family friendly Mardi Gras celebration like Disney! You’ll want to check out the festivities happening at Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen and House of Blues in the Downtown Disney District at the Disneyland Resort.
The Ralph Brennan Restaurant Group has deep roots in the New Orleans French Quarter Mardi Gras tradition. The special Mardi Gras menu at Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen features specialties that include traditional gumbo, red beans and rice, Creole jambalaya, BBQ shrimp and grits and the famous (and delicious) beignets.
Also happening at Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen is live music from 6-10 p.m. in both the first- and second-floor rooms, a Mardi Gras costume contest at 8 p.m. in the Flambeau Room, free Mardi Gras beads for kids, and some Bourbon Street specials at the bar.
The all-ages entertainment lineup at House of Blues starts at 7 p.m. on Feb. 9th and features L.A. Vation, “The World’s Greatest Tribute to U2,” and The Who Generation, “A Tribute to The Who.” Be sure to try the special Big Easy-inspired menu items like a fried catfish po’boy or a plate of fried catfish nuggets.
