Guests visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom are in for a fun surprise as Walt Disney World enhances the storyline inside the Tree of Life Theater.
Disney has officially added a brand-new pre-show sequence to Zootopia: Better Zoogether!, introducing Mayor Brian Winddancer to set up the story before guests head into the main 4D presentation.

The new scene features Mayor Winddancer welcoming visitors to the citywide “Zoogether Day” celebration. Voiced once again by fan-favorite actor Patrick Warburton, Mayor Winddancer helps frame the storyline and gives guests a clearer look at what to expect before stepping inside the theater.
To bring the character to life for the attraction, Walt Disney Imagineering collaborated closely with animators and filmmakers from Walt Disney Animation Studios. The team conducted overnight technical rehearsals inside the Tree of Life Theater to align audio, lighting, special effects, and figure animation timing before debuting the scene to the public.
Mayor Brian Winddancer quickly became a breakout character following his debut in Zootopia 2, and Disney credits his huge fan popularity as the main drive behind working him into the Tree of Life Theater experience.
The updated pre-show sequence is officially live for guests visiting Discovery Island at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
