Zootopia 2 Pounces onto Disney+ March 11 After Record-Breaking Box Office Run
The case is back on. Zootopia 2 is officially hopping onto Disney+ on March 11, giving fans the perfect excuse to revisit one of the biggest animated hits of all time. Rookie cops Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde return for a wild undercover adventure that slithers into the hidden corners of the bustling animal metropolis, and this time the stakes are even higher.

In its theatrical run, the sequel did not just roar at the box office; it rewrote the record books. With $1.85 billion worldwide, Zootopia 2 became the highest-grossing animated Motion Picture Association release ever and now ranks as the eighth-highest-grossing film of all time. The film also crossed the billion-dollar milestone for Walt Disney Animation Studios, marking the studio’s fifth global billion-dollar hit. Critics and audiences agreed it was pawsitively worth it, earning the BAFTA Award for Best Animated Feature, a 96 percent Verified Hot Audience Score on Rotten Tomatoes, an A CinemaScore, and an Academy Award nomination.
Music lovers will also want to turn the volume up. The film features the infectious new single “Zoo” performed by Shakira, along with a sweeping original score by Michael Giacchino that adds heart, humor, and a little extra bounce to every chase scene.
