Get ready for an urban jungle adventure as beloved characters from the world of Zootopia arrive at Disney California Adventure Park! In a special, limited-time offering celebrating the highly anticipated film Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Zootopia 2—slithering into theaters on Wednesday, November 26, 2025—guests will have an incredible opportunity to meet their favorite Zootopia Police Department (ZPD) heroes.
Starting Monday, November 24, 2025, the resort will welcome the wonderfully bubbly and donut-devoted cheetah, Officer Benjamin Clawhauser (voiced in the film by Nate Torrence). Clawhauser—the friendly face behind the ZPD’s welcome desk—will be making his jolly park debut! He’ll be joined by the city’s top detectives, the determined bunny Officer Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin) and her sly partner, the fox Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman). You can encounter this hilarious and heroic trio near Stage 17 in Hollywood Land.
The excitement is all in honor of the new film, Zootopia 2, which sees Judy and Nick return for a brand-new, high-stakes case that promises to test their partnership like never before. The official synopsis reveals that the detective duo is hot on the trail of a mysterious reptile, Gary De’Snake—a pit viper voiced by Oscar® winner Ke Huy Quan—whose arrival is turning the mammal metropolis completely upside down!

To crack the case, Judy and Nick must go deep undercover in brand-new, unexpected parts of Zootopia, including the vibrant, semi-aquatic neighborhood known as Marsh Market. Get ready to see the city in a whole new light as they chase their slippery suspect! The film, directed by Jared Bush and Byron Howard (the duo behind the original Zootopia and Encanto), is set to be packed with animal antics, sharp humor, and a whole host of new characters, including a quokka therapist named Dr. Fuzzby (Quinta Brunson).
The character appearances are just one part of the Zootopia excitement. Starting earlier, on November 14, 2025, guests can sharpen their pencils and artistic skills at the Animation Academy in Disney California Adventure Park for exclusive “How to Draw” lessons! These special sessions will feature the new, enigmatic character, Gary De’Snake, allowing fans to get up close and personal with the film’s central mystery figure.
Adding to the buzz, Zootopia 2 stars Ke Huy Quan and Ginnifer Goodwin recently paid a visit to the Disneyland Resort themselves! The actors, who voice Gary De’Snake and Judy Hopps, took the opportunity to pose for photos with the characters, including Clawhauser, Nick Wilde, and Judy Hopps, giving fans a sneak peek at the new character lineup.
