Work to begin on Pirates of the Caribbean in the Magic Kingdom

Updates and refurbishments are regularities for rides and attractions at Walt Disney World Resort. Guest-favorite Pirates of the Caribbean looks like it will soon undergo more than just a little refurbishment.

According to a permit filed, Pirates of the Caribbean will be undergoing general construction work.

General construction could mean any number of things. Disney could be updating the ride vehicles, enhancing the ride track, updating animatronics, etc. Pirates of the Caribbean is not listed on the upcoming refurbishments for Magic Kingdom, so we suspect this construction work will be minor.

The permit’s expiration date is October 1, 2021, so the construction work should be done in time for Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration.

What do you think the construction could be?
