General construction could mean any number of things. Disney could be updating the ride vehicles, enhancing the ride track, updating animatronics, etc. Pirates of the Caribbean is not listed on the upcoming refurbishments for Magic Kingdom, so we suspect this construction work will be minor.

The permit’s expiration date is October 1, 2021, so the construction work should be done in time for Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration.
