Wicked Available on Home Video Starting Today with Three Hours of Bonus Content

Prepare to be spellbound! “Wicked,” the dazzling musical movie, makes its triumphant home entertainment debut this New Year’s Eve, boasting a treasure trove of exclusive extras including deleted scenes and commentary.

Following its theatrical run, the Universal Pictures film ‘Wicked,’ starring Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, will be available exclusively for purchase or rental on December 31, 2024, across major digital platforms. The digital release will include a singalong version, a 40-minute journey through Oz that celebrates the film’s on-screen magic, and other bonus content.

In the U.S., ‘Wicked’ will be available for purchase or rental from major digital retailers including Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Fandango at Home (formerly Vudu), Comcast Xfinity, Cox, and Microsoft Movies & TV. The film will also be released on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD on February 4, 2025.

  • A Wicked Legacy: Cast and filmmakers share personal memories of their first encounters with the original Broadway production, and how those lasting connections “created emotional experiences while making the movie.” Also highlighted are the cameos that pay tribute to the cultural phenomenon that became one of the most popular musicals of all time.
  • The Wonderful Wizard: An in-depth look at the infamous Wizard of Oz as the Wizard himself, Jeff Goldblum, pulls back the curtain to peer at his character’s magic and mechanics with senior special effects technician Christopher Clarke, who details how the Wizard’s massive robotic head comes to life.

Universal Pictures recently announced that the sequel to “Wicked” has been retitled “Wicked: For Good.” The film, which will depict the second act of the Broadway musical, is scheduled to premiere in theaters on November 21, 2025.
