Whoopi Goldberg Urges Disney Parks to Feature Wakanda Experience to Honor Chadwick Boseman. Marvel Fans around the world have been mourning the sudden loss of Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther, 42) who passed away at his home in the Los Angeles area with his wife and family by his side. Chadwick was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016 and battled with it these last 4 years as it progressed to stage IV. ⁣Boseman had not shared his diagnosis publicly, leaving many fans completely shocked by his apparent sudden death.

As fans mourn his passing, an idea was shared by actress and show host, Whoopi Goldberg, calling for the Disney Parks to build a version of Wakanda that fans can venture through and as a way to honor Chadwick’s memory.

Whoopi Goldberg shared her thoughts in a tweet with the following statement: “Dear People in charge of building NEW experiences Disney Land and World we don’t really need another Frozen land BUT what we could use is Wakonda, please Disneyworld Disneyland PLEASE build in Chadwick Boseman’s name WAKONDA.”

Regardless of the spelling errors, many fans are in agreement with Goldberg, and feel that the parks could feature more than just a meet and greet or the single attraction featuring the Marvel created country coming to the Avengers Campus in Disneyland.

Originally the Avengers Campus was set to open July 18th, but with the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide, Disneyland has remained closed “until further notice”. We are very excited to experience the Avengers Campus and all it has to offer when it is up and running, no matter the wait.

Our deepest condolences go out to Chadwick Boseman’s family, friends and fans during this difficult time. Wakanda Forever.
