It looks like the demand for White Castle sliders is even greater than expected! It’s been a hectic week, but White Castle is temporarily suspending the operations of its new Orlando ghost kitchen.
The White Castle organization issued the following statement:
“We are going to pause operations at our virtual kitchen in Orlando until after our full-service restaurant location in the O-Town West development opens. The overwhelming number of orders for White Castle has been humbling and reinforces we made the right choice to choose Central Florida as the site for our next permanent destination Castle. Because of the relatively small size of the virtual kitchen and the incredibly high number of orders, running the virtual kitchen isn’t currently sustainable.”

According to the company’s website, the ghost kitchen location is near John Young Parkway and Colonial Drive. The food will be available within a 15-minute radius of the location at 18 N. Dollins Ave.
Ghost kitchens, which do not have dining rooms, are a trend for restaurants trying to reach delivery and takeout customers.
White Castle says it plans to resume operations in the Spring when its full-service restaurant opens near Disney World. We will post updates when more information becomes available on their new Orlando location.
