Where to get a good cup of coffee at Walt Disney World?

If your a coffee enthusiast like myself there is nothing better than a good cup of joe in the morning. I love coffee so much even when its hot outside I pour my coffee over ice just to get my fix.

Most people who have been to Walt Disney World at least once and is a coffee lover like myself know that the choices are very limited. I have been to just about every location for breakfast including all the character locations, quick service counters, and casual eateries.

So far the best cup of coffee has to be at Kona Cafe in the Polynesian Resort. They serve up Estate-grown Kona Coffee in a very nice french press pot. It supposed to serve two people but I get one just for myself. It would be nice to eat breakfast every day at Kona Cafe but lets be honest who really wants to do that?

For the most part the coffee at the other eateries is just ok. Disney seems to be taking advice from its visitors and has made Joffrey’s Coffee the official coffee of Disneyland and Disney World. Not to mention you can get Starbucks now in the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Downtown Disney (opening soon)

So what do you do if you can’t make it out to one of these newer coffee hot spots first thing in the morning? I am going to break down a few options for you to try in your room the next time you are at Walt Disney World to get really good cup of coffee no matter where you are.

Tip # 1Starbucks Via & Starbucks Via Iced – Someone gave me a free sample of these a few months ago..At first I was a little leery to try instant coffee. But I will honestly say this is a great cup of coffee. If you don’t have access to good coffee or to a coffee maker I suggest packing a box of these. The iced flavor is great to add to a bottle of water but for me I need to add some flavored creamer to the cold variety.

Tip # 2French Press Maker – I know this tip will take a little bit of planning but I think it is well worth the space in your suitcase. If you pick up a French Press before your trip and a bag of Starbucks Coffee (be sure to ask them to grind it for a press pot) you will have a great cup of coffee every morning in your room. Just put your coffee in a portable cup and if you need to add creamer and sugar do it while you are at breakfast. For instructions on how to use a press pot along with a good history lesson check out this website.

Tip #3Bring your own – If you stay at any of the deluxe or Disney Vacation Club properties most come with their own coffee makers. So pack some coffee of your own and bring it to the resort with you. Or do what we do Order from Garden Grocer.
