Every day is a reason to celebrate at Walt Disney World. Whether you are enjoying your birthday, anniversary, family reunion, first trip, or just your very merry un-birthday, the parks provide a great backdrop to any type of celebration. The entire Move It! Shake It! Celebrate It! Street Party is dedicated to the idea that any reason is a good reason to celebrate. So just what is so great about spending these milestones at Disney? There are a ton of add-ons, activities, and Disney magic to add that extra touch to any event.
When you are making your ADRs, be sure to let the Cast Member know that you are going to be celebrating. It is an easy way to let your servers know more about your family and your trip, which helps them to make your experience that much more special. If you are planning something EXTRA special such as a proposal, you may want to look into Disney Floral and Gifts. This great tool offers packages and ideas for making her feel like a princess. Packages range from inexpensive to royal reserve.
Once you arrive in the parks, make sure to let the front desk of your resort know that you are celebrating a special occasion. They should have a stock pile of buttons on hand for you to wear throughout your trip to let everyone know what you are celebrating. Keep in mind that these buttons will most likely bring you extra attention in the park, so if you have a super shy child, plastering a large Happy Birthday button on, may make them uncomfortable. If you are staying off property, guest relations will also have these buttons at all parks. It’s important not to except freebies just because you are wearing a button, but it does better your chances (being kind, polite, and talkative also boosts your chances). I’ve seen free desserts, snacks, and ear hats given to guests who are celebrating a special moment.
You know who you are travelling with best, so go the extra mile and plan something special for them while you are in the parks. If you child is in love with Pluto, surprise them with a Pluto ear hat just before they are about to meet him. Another idea is to let the birthday boy/girl choose the itinerary for the day.
Dining offers many opportunities to experience something different while in the parks. If you are celebrating a honeymoon or anniversary, consider booking a Signature Dining experience, or go all out and dine at Victoria and Albert’s. If you’re looking for something a little more family friendly, go for a Character Dining option such as Cinderella’s Royal Table. This will let the guest of honor enjoy some one on one time with their favorite Princess.
Whatever your budget is, there is always a way to make your celebration extra special at Disney parks. From free buttons to all out Princess Proposals, Disney has you covered for stocking your trip full of magical memories.
