While modifying a Fall trip for a client this afternoon, I noticed that the default package pricing kept increasing significantly. I called into the always helpful Disney Reservation Center to see what was happening and a friendly Cast Member was able to confirm my suspicion- the ticket price increase from a few weeks ago has now been put in place for packages as of yesterday.
As we reported a few weeks ago, stand-alone ticket prices increased for Walt Disney World Resort. Stand-alone tickets are tickets that are purchased separately from a resort package. These tickets include date based theme park tickets, multi-day theme park tickets, and water park annual passes at Walt Disney World. Base tickets and Park Hopper tickets were both affected.
It is not hard to connect the ticket price increases to the announcement for the opening date of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World Resort on August 29, 2019. Room rates this Fall have also seen price increases. While I am not sure if this is the only price increase we will see, what I do know is that if you plan on visiting Walt Disney World resort this Fall, I would not delay in booking your vacation package to guarantee the best pricing.
