The Walt Disney World Resort has now been closed since mid-March due to the COVID 19 pandemic. During these times, however, the resort is trying to shine a light in the city of Orlando. This week, the cast members of Walt Disney World went to spread a little magic to the local police department.
Orlando, Florida is not only home to the Walt Disney World Resort, but it is also home to the Orlando Police Department. The department has been hard at work guiding and protecting citizens in the midst of the pandemic. The resort wanted to express their gratitude and send a little magic their way. Disney called up Orlando PD and let them know that they had a little something special for them. The company delivered boxes upon boxes of treats and sweets!
On the Orlando Police Department Twitter page, they posted a video of them receiving the Walt Disney World snacks and also expressing their thanks. A member of the Orlando Police spoke in the video on behalf of the department. He had this to say, “Disney, on behalf of the Orlando Police Department, thank you very much for this generous gesture. We will make sure that no only our members of the agency have an opportunity to enjoy these treats; we will also share them with our community whenever we can. Thank you”.
