When planning our Disney World Vacation we always make sure when we order our tickets we get the Park Hopper option. While at the parks one of our favorite things to do in Disney World is Park Hop! To us there is something about being in different parks in the same day that makes our Disney Day complete.

Don’t get me wrong we have spent many days in the same park and had a blast, but having the choice of leaving a park jumping on a boat, bus or monorail and being in a whole new place to explore in just a bit, is exciting!

We love to venture to Animal Kingdom early in the day and enjoy the peace and calm of the animals on the Kilimanjaro Safari, Pangani Forest Exploration Trail and the Maharajah Jungle Trek and then head back to Rafiki’s Planet Watch for some more up close animal time. Then head out for lunch at a favorite resort spot then on to Magic Kingdom for an afternoon and evening of riding fun! Or how about a morning and early afternoon in Hollywood Studios getting your blood pumping with the Tower of Terror, Rock -n- Roller Coaster and Star Tours then getting your game on in Toy Story Mania! Then off to Epcot to explore China, Norway, Germany & Morocco to name a few!

Or did you ever go to park and think “Ok every single person at Disney must be in this park today?” Yep me to, so head on out and hit up another park! Now I am sure some of you might say “but I only have 4 days and I just want to do one park a day”  while I get that and understand you want to see and do as much as you can with time you have, so taking the time to park hop isn’t something you want to add to your day. Fair enough but consider this, Animal Kingdom closes around 5 or 6 you can then head to another park for the rest of the evening, Hollywood Studios may close at 8 or 9 and Magic Kingdom may have Extra Magic Hours that night so extra time for Splash or Space Mountain is never a bad thing 😉

All in all park hoppers can add to your magical vacation by giving you the flexibility and extras you just may need!

  1. I did have to run at EPCOT – only had 40 minutes to get from France to Test Track. I dawdled a bit in Hollywood, I guess. I hope I can do it again on my next trip with my hubby.

  2. On the last day of every vacation my family & I try to hit all 4 parks. It’s not as hard as it sounds if you know how to get around. For example: we will go to Animal Kingdom in the morning, take a bus to Hollywood Studios, take a boat to EPCOT and then the monorail to Magic Kingdom.

  3. Last trip, I did the 4 parks 1 day challenge and had a blast! I was by myself for most of it and could go at my own pace. I hit the parks around 5 pm (I had just arrived at Disney a few hours prior, dumped my suitcases in the room and took off). My plan was at least one attraction and one food item per park. I did Animal Kingdom first, had dinner, saw Its Tough to be a Bug, walked around and then headed to Hollywood Studios via bus. At Hollywood, I did the Tower of Terror, participated in a few Limited Time Magic events and grabbed some popcorn. Then I headed to EPCOT via boat and had ice cream at France and rode Test Track. The next morning I’d planned to do Magic Kingdom all day with a friend. We did the New Fantasyland stuff and favorites like POTC and Haunted Mansion. We also ate well with Starbucks, Dole Whips and dinner at the Be Our Guest. I highly recommend trying the challenge!
