Disney World Increases Disability Access Service Validity to One Year
Effective today, May 18, 2025, Walt Disney World has announced an extension to the validity period of its Disability Access Service (DAS), increasing it from the previous 240 days to a full year (365 days) from the date of registration. This update offers greater convenience for eligible guests who visit the parks regularly by reducing the frequency of required re-enrollment.

This change follows two other recent adjustments to the DAS program. In February 2025, Disney extended the advance registration window for DAS from 30 to 60 days prior to a park visit. Additionally, in late January 2025, the park revised its DAS policy language, removing the word “only” from the eligibility statement concerning developmental disabilities like autism, potentially broadening the scope of interpretation for qualification.
The DAS program is designed to accommodate guests with developmental disabilities, such as autism, who are unable to wait in traditional queues for extended periods. Upon approval, eligible guests can request return times for attractions via the My Disney Experience app or at Guest Experience locations, allowing them to wait outside the physical line.

It’s important to note that current policy mandates registration through a live video chat with a Disney Cast Member, available daily from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time. In-person DAS registration is no longer offered at the parks.
Key aspects of the DAS policy that remain unchanged include the focus on developmental disabilities for eligibility, a party size limit of the registered guest plus three additional individuals, and the allowance of one active DAS return time at any given moment, in conjunction with a virtual queue boarding group, if applicable.
