How tall do I have to be to ride at walt disney world

Imagine the disappointment in getting up to a ride you just couldn’t wait to ride only to find out you didn’t meet the height requirements.  Use this list to make sure your little Disney fans know exactly what they can and can’t ride before hitting the parks.  Please note that all riders will be measured prior to entering the ride queue and it is up to the Cast Member to determine if they meet height requirements at the time of your visit.

Magic Kingdom:

  • Goofy’s Barnstormer: 35 inches or taller
  • 7 Dwarfs Mine Train: 38 inches or taller
  • Big Thunder Mountain Railroad: 40 inches or taller
  • Splash Mountain: 40 inches or taller
  • Stitches Great Escape: 40 inches or taller
  • Space Mountain: 44 inches or taller
  • Tomorrowland Speedway: 54 inches or taller to drive and 32 inches or taller to ride with an adult

Epcot:


  • Test Track: 40 inches or taller
  • Soarin’: 40 inches or taller
  • Mission: Space: 44 inches or taller
  • Sum of All Thrills: 48 inches or taller

Disney’s Hollywood Studios:

  • Twilight Zone Tower of Terror: 40 inches or taller
  • Star Tours: The Adventure Continues: 40 inches or taller
  • Rock n’ Roller Coaster: 48 inches or taller

Disney’s Animal Kingdom:

  • Kali River Rapids: 38 inches or taller
  • Dinosaur: 40 inches or taller
  • Expedition Everest: 44 inches or taller
  • Primevil Whirl: 48 inches or taller

Blizzard Beach:

  • The Chair Lift: 32 inches or taller (no lap children)
  • Downhill Double Dipper: 48 inches or taller
  • Summit Plummet: 48 inches or taller
  • Slush Gusher: 48 inches or taller
  • T-Bar: must be UNDER 60 inches to ride
  • Tike’s Pike: must be UNDER 48 inches to ride

Typhoon Lagoon:

  • Storm Slides: 48 inches or taller
  • Maydall Falls: 48 inches or taller
  • Humunga Kowabunga: 48 inches or taller
  • Keel Haul Fallss: 48 inches or taller
  • Bay Slide: must be UNDER 60 inches to ride
  • Ketchadkiddee Creek: must be under 48 inches to ride
