Disney has made a surprise shift for the 2023-2025 theatrical release schedule, with some titles being added, adjusted, and one Marvel Studios removed. Some of the most notable changes include the production halt of Marvel Studios’ Blade reboot due to Director changes, ‘Deadpool 3‘ filming delays, Avengers: Secret Wars release date being pushed back 6 months, and the additions of Chevalier (Searchlight Pictures) on April 7, 2023, A Haunting in Venice on September 15, 2023, and Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes on May 24, 2024.
Marvel Studios has been forced to push back the premiere of Blade to September 6, 2024 after Bassam Tariq stepped away as director siting scheduling conflicts, but will remain an executive producer for the film.
The shift has caused Deadpool 3 to move to November 8, 2024, the highly anticipated ‘Fantastic Four‘ reboot is now set to release on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2025, with another previously scheduled untitled Marvel Studios film being pushed back to November 7, 2025. In addition, Avengers Secret Wars will now premiere on May 1, 2026, replacing yet another untitled upcoming Marvel Studios film.
