IMAX Corporation and Walt Disney Studios have announced the continuation of their relationship bringing us an amazing experience for audiences of all ages. As part of their agreement, IMAX will be a part of the Disney live action and animated films coming our way. Titles mentioned in the deal include The Jungle Book, Finding Dory, many of the upcoming Marvel releases and the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men tell no talesAlan Bergman, President, The Walt Disney Studios talked about looking “forward to an extraordinary collection of films in the years ahead, The Walt Disney Studios is thrilled to expand our long-term relationship with IMAX to bring the best from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Lucasfilm to some of the most advanced theaters worldwide.”
IMAX CEO Richard L. Gelfond stated the following, “Our relationship with Disney has continued to strengthen after having released 25 films in IMAX theatres since 2009, the films in this new agreement promise to continue to provide IMAX audiences the highest-quality films available.”
Bringing together the magic of Disney films and the image and sound quality re-mastering of The IMAX Experience® with proprietary IMAX DMR® (Digital Re-mastering) technology can only mean that our favorite movies will have us experiencing adventures like never before.
