Disney Shatters Records with Historic 60 Emmy Wins

The Walt Disney Company has achieved a remarkable feat, securing an unprecedented 60 wins at the 76th Emmy® Awards. This record-breaking achievement spans across their vast array of content brands, studios, and platforms, including ABC, Disney Branded Television, Disney+, Disney Television Studios, FX, Hulu, National Geographic, and The Walt Disney Studios.

FX led the charge for Disney, amassing a total of 36 awards, the highest for any of the company’s brands or studios and a new record for FX itself. The historical drama series “Shōgun” claimed an impressive 19 awards, setting a Television Academy record for most wins by a series in a single year. Meanwhile, the acclaimed comedy “The Bear” also broke its own record for a comedy series, securing 11 awards.

The celebrations extended to individual achievements as well. Anna Sawai made history as the first Asian descent actor to win Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her role in “Shōgun.” Liza Colón-Zayas also achieved a milestone, becoming the first Latina to win Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her performance in “The Bear.”


Disney’s streaming platforms collectively garnered 59 wins, with Hulu accounting for 50 and Disney+ securing nine.

The Walt Disney Studios also contributed to the victory, with four wins for “Quiz Lady” and “The Beach Boys” from 20th Century Studios, as well as “Ahsoka” from Lucasfilm Ltd. and “What If…? An Immersive Story” from Marvel Studios.

This historic Emmy haul underscores the Walt Disney Company’s continued commitment to producing exceptional content across a wide range of genres and platforms.
