The Walt Disney Company announced today that it is donating $1 million in humanitarian aid for those affected by Hurricane Michael. The donation will go toward helping with the disaster and recovery response through the Florida Disaster Fund.

Bob Iger, Chairman and CEO of the Walt Disney Company said employees of the company “have the families and communities impacted by this powerful storm in [their] hearts.”

But Disney isn’t stopping at $1 million in donations. The entertainment giant further announced that contributions made toward relief efforts by its employees will be matched by the company, dollar for dollar. This will be undertaken by Disney Employee Matching Gifts: A Program of the Walt Disney Company Foundation.
