After Disney announced its permanent closure last year, there has been speculation for quite a while now that Primeval Whirl in Animal Kingdom would be demolished. While we haven’t received official confirmation on this yet, we did find that new walls have been put up around the attraction this week and construction permits have been filed for this location.

Primeval Whirl
Primeval Whirl is located in the Chester & Hester’s Dino-Rama area of DinoLand U.S.A. It opened in 2002 and was a steel Wild Mouse roller coaster. It had cars that spin in circles while traveling on tracks, permitting the ride experience to vary greatly each time it is ridden.
No visible work is being done quite yet.

The “Super Slamosaurus” is also now surrounded by walls.
While we haven’t gotten any word on what will be replacing this attraction, we are excited to see the possibility of a new experience coming soon!
