Walls are up around Das Kaufhaus in Epcot’s Germany Pavilion. There is a lot of construction going on at Epcot recently, and the newest addition is Germany Pavilion. Pavement work is being done overnight and not affecting the daily routine, but Das Kaufhaus is closed temporarily for refurbishment.
Das Kaufhaus is one of our favorite quick snack stops. With Grapefruit Beer and giant pretzels for sale. This iconic duo is a staple for some people who like to drink around the world, and also for regular guests who just love great Disney Snacks. Temporarily, the only place to get this combo is the food booth in the front area of the Germany Pavilion.

We have no word on how long this construction is going to last. We do not expect it to be very long.
Also, it appears that Disney may be removing the pavement bricks that have lined the pavilion for years. Replaced by cement slaps. We noticed a good amount of groundwork being done right in front of the closed Beer stand.
Hopefully, Disney will be done by the time Food & Wine opens on July 14th.
