Orlando

The tourism industry is certainly affected by the recent pandemic. Many businesses and vacation spots are temporarily closed. What’s important right now is to stay home and follow safety precautions issued by the CDC. But in the meantime, Visit Orlando is making efforts to help those who work in the tourism industry.

Visit Orlando is offering a new resource to provide aid for employees who earn their living in tourism. You can find the link here.

The tourist hub website helps people apply for financial assistance, learn about employment opportunities, and where to find local area food banks if needed. The tourism community can use this resource to find assistance and possible new jobs.

George Aguel, Vice President of Visit Orlando, addressed the purpose of the new website by saying how the “priority with this hub is to filter through the significant amounts of information and resources we are exposed to daily and help highlight what they most need to make it through this critical time and also prepare for our recovery.”

The new website serves as a resource for small business owners and tourism workers who are financially affected by the CONVID-19 pandemic. Hopefully it can provide some assistance for people in need.
