Virtual Queue Announced for Disney’s Hollywood Studios 35th-Anniversary Merch Event

In honor of Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ 35th-anniversary celebration kicking off on May 1st, 2024, Disney has announced a special limited-edition merchandise event, to be held at the Stage 1 Company Store located on Grand Avenue near MuppetVision 3D. This exclusive event will offer guests a unique opportunity to purchase commemorative apparel, collectibles, and pins designed specifically for the 35th anniversary.

To manage guest demand and create a positive shopping experience, Disney will be utilizing a virtual queue system for the event. The virtual queue system will allow guests to join the queue remotely using the My Disney Experience app, eliminating the need to arrive at the park early in the morning.

Joining the Virtual Queue

• Download the My Disney Experience app: Ensure you have the app downloaded and ready to use.
• Enable location services: This is critical for utilizing the virtual queue system within the app.
• Join the queue on May 1st, 7:00 AM ET: Navigate to the “Virtual Queues” section within the My Disney Experience app to secure your spot.

Important Information for Guests

• Theme park admission required: A valid theme park admission ticket (and, if applicable, a park reservation) for Disney’s Hollywood Studios is required to participate in the virtual queue or shop at the event.
• Limited availability: Quantities of these exclusive merchandise items are limited. Joining the virtual queue does not guarantee access to specific items.
• Purchase limits apply: To ensure everyone has a chance to commemorate the anniversary, Disney will enforce purchase limits on certain merchandise items.
