Video: Watch as Cinderella Castle receives 50th Anniversary Makeover. Walt Disney Imagineering released a brand new time-lapse video, showing the transformation of Cinderella Castle. The 30-second video gives a behind scene of the 50th Anniversary Makeover.

As the Time Lapse starts you see Cinderella Castle is the greyish stone and the faded blue spires. Beautiful as ever, it had just gone through a clean-up and had been repainted recently. Then quickly in the video, the new 50th anniversary colors appear, the bright blue spires and the pale pink castle exterior, followed by the gilded gold look of the tops of the castle. Top to bottom work is done, the ribbons appear next on each of the spires until it is finished off with the 50 emblems.

What amazes us? The cranes and all the work that is done overnight while no guests are around. When guests enter the parks, you could not tell that work was done, but the castle had been transformed. Also, in the time-lapse of the 50th Anniversary Makeover, there is a time where they get work done when it is light out. I don’t know if that is when the park was closed or just summertime when it is light out longer.
