It’s a mother’s worst fear to not be around to watch her kids grow up. For Rachel Perman a possible reality after she received a cancer diagnosis soon after the birth of her twins. She says she was afraid she wouldn’t make it to their 5th birthday. So when their 5th birthday came around she wanted to commemorate the occasion in a big way with a photoshoot.
Her son Elijah is a huge fan of Disney’s movie Up. It is nothing short of an obsession for him. He loves books, and toys, and even loves to color and draw pictures from his favorite movie. So when she asked him what theme he would like of course, he chose the adventure-themed film.
To make this photoshoot extra special she enlisted the help of two important people to them, Elijah’s great-grandparents to help with it. Although they had never personally seen the movie they were honored to partake in it. The 90-year-old grandfather posed as Carl with the signature square glasses, suit, and even the hose he carries around. Ellie was portrayed by his great-grandmother also in her 90s.
Elijah donned the cub scout look that Russel has in the Pixar film, and is carrying Carl and Ellie’s colorful house attached to a large balloon bouquet. They look certainly ready for their next adventure in these photos, that they will have to cherish for years to come.
Now, these photos have taken the Internet by storm. They definitely bring the cuteness factor.
