Universal Orlando Resort announced yesterday that two hotels would close temporarily starting on Friday, August 21st. Guests with existing reservations at Sapphire Falls Resort or Aventura Hotel have been receiving emails with the option to change hotels or reschedule their vacation dates.
“We continue to evaluate our offerings and have decided to consolidate our hotel operations as we manage through current conditions,” a Loews Hotels spokesperson said in a statement.
There is no word yet on with these two hotels will continue operations. “Hard Rock Hotel, Loews Royal Pacific Resort, Cabana Bay Beach Resort and Universal’s Endless Summer Resort – Surfside Inn and Suites will continue operations,” the spokesperson said. Guests wanting to travel to the Universal Orlando Resort will still be able to book there.
We recently saw Universal temporarily close several attractions within the parks and reduced park hours. Hopefully, the closures won’t last long. If you have a reservation that’s impacted make sure to check your emails.
