Universal’s Jurassic Park Roller Coaster Construction Update

We spent the day at the Universal Orlando Resort yesterday and were surprised at how much more has been added to the new roller coaster coming to Islands of Adventure. This coaster which rumored name is the Velocicoaster is inside the Jurassic Park area of the theme park. Universal has not yet given any hints to theming, opening date, or even the offical name.

This new coaster looks massive and is being built pretty quick! We got to see part of a building area they are adding and also some track that didn’t even have the plastic taken off yet.

The new Jurassic themed coaster also sits right next to the Three Broomsticks back patio in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. I wonder how they plan to separate the two lands once the coaster is finished.

We can’t wait to get some official information on the brand new coaster coming to Universal Orlando. We’ll continue to keep you updated on the progress.
