Perched high above Los Angeles, the billboard features a larger-than-life Marty McFly—complete with red puffer vest, goggles, and that trademark time-pressured look at his watch. Even cooler? The digital clock built into the billboard is ticking down to the opening night of Fan Fest, kicking off Friday, April 25, 2025.

This isn’t just a fun photo op—it’s the perfect preview for what’s to come. Universal Fan Fest Nights will transform Universal Studios Hollywood into an after-hours playground for fans of sci-fi, fantasy, anime, gaming, and everything in between. The event runs on select nights April 25–27, May 2–4, 9–11, and 15–18, and tickets are already on sale for what promises to be an unforgettable experience.

One of the marquee events is Back to the Future: Destination Hill Valley, where guests will literally go back in time. Hopping aboard a specially designed Studio Tour “Fan Tram,” fans will travel to Courthouse Square, the actual filming location for the original movie, and be transported to 1955. From dancing at the Enchantment Under the Sea dance to witnessing the epic lightning strike that sends Marty racing through time, this immersive tribute is brimming with film-accurate props, sets, and nostalgic vibes.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ and SUPER NINTENDO WORLD™ will offer extra magic with exclusive characters and interactive elements during the event.

Fueling the fandom frenzy, Executive Chef Julia Thrash is crafting a lineup of themed bites that are sure to hit 88 miles per delicious hour. There will also be exclusive Fan Fest merchandise—from collectibles to drinkware and apparel—so you can flaunt your fandom well beyond the gates.

To top it all off, you can still experience fan-favorite attractions like Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, Jurassic World—The Ride, Revenge of the Mummy, and more during these special evenings.
