Universal Orlando Pokes Fun at Disney Closing Splash Mountain
Now that Splash Mountain is now closed in true Universal fashion the social media team over at Universal Orlando decided to call out Disney and those people who are selling things from Splash on eBay.

From old park maps featuring Splash Mountain, Pressed Pennies, to leaves from the trees in Frontierland, and even water taken from the attraction, it seems everyone was trying to make a buck off of this newly closed fan-favorite attraction.
When the news broke that people were selling the water from the last day of Splash Mountain on eBay, Universal Orlando had a little fun poking the bear.
Back in 2021, there was some weird trend where people were drinking water from Disney Attractions and from various fountains. Don’t ask me why. That is where the original PSA: Made for Splashing, not for Drinking Tweet came into play.
Universal went into the archives and decided to reshare that tweet with a little updated info…
Almost all of the comments on the retweet from Universal Orlando’s Twitter Account were positive. I can positively say I love the Social Media team over at Universal for having some fun at Disney’s expense.
Thanks, Universal for the laugh…
