Universal Orlando Resort is taking steps to enhance convenience for guests using Express Passes by installing facial recognition cameras at select attraction entrances. Over recent months, these cameras have popped up in key areas of Universal Studios Florida, signaling the increased implementation of the resort’s planned move toward a more streamlined, tech-integrated guest experience.

The cameras have popped up in recent months at several popular attractions in Universal Studios Florida: the E.T. Adventure entrance, Revenge of the Mummy and various locations within DreamWorks Land, including Trolls Trollercoaster and the Imagination Celebration theater.

While the cameras are not yet active, they align with Universal’s vision for the future, as outlined in the initial announcements about Epic Universe. The goal is to streamline experiences for guests, allowing facial recognition not only for Express Pass verification but potentially even for in-park purchases, where a simple scan could link to a guest’s credit card to allow for seamless purchases.
