Universal Orlando expects large crowds for the Spring Break holiday that will span over a longer time frame. According to Orlando Weekly, “Last week Universal Studios Orlando announced to its team members that they expect a longer spring break season this year.
Universal employees were told that their complimentary pass tickets will be blocked out from Saturday, March 13, through Saturday, April 10, to reflect the expected increase in attendance.”
Universal has been seeing very large crowds on weekends and holidays. During the weeks of Christmas and New Years, Universal hit capacity daily.
Power passholders will be blocked out in Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure from March 27-April 10. Seasonal passholders from all three parks for the same period. Volcano Bay is also set to open March 1st and the blockout dates will be in effect there also. The increase in attendance doesn’t effect Preferred or Premier passholders.
Mardi Gras also starts at the beginning of February. There will also be an increase in attendance for that event. Make sure to keep following along for updates.
