Have you ever wondered how to type the classic Mickey symbol on your Mac or PC? °o° We get asked this question quite often in the Chip and Co’s Disney Addicts Group. It’s actually pretty simple. Here I will teach you how…
First you make the ear on the left side. On a PC, press and hold the ALT key – and on the number pad press 1 6 7 and then release all the keys. You should now see the left ear.
Then you can use a lowercase o, a zero, or a capital O for the head.
It only matters which look you like the best.
Personally, I prefer the lowercase o and use it exclusively!
Then just repeat the ALT 1 6 7 to create the ear on the right. °o°
If you are a Mac user, just press and hold the ALT + 0 (zero) release, then the small letter o as in open, and ALT + 0 again. °o°
You can make Mickey on an iPhone and iPad too!
Press and hold the zero in the number keyboard and the ° will appear as a choice next to it.
Keep your finger on the screen and slide it to the left over the degree symbol to type it in. I hope this helps take the mystery out of making this awesome symbol on your keypad whenever you need it! My advice is to use it – and use it often if you love Disney and Mickey!

got it to work finally
doesn’t work for me either. alt 167 makes smileys, and alt 248 makes some other symbol 🙁
Always wanted to do that…now I can! THANKS ºoº
Easy peasy – thanks!
ºoº Woohoo. Thanks!
Thank you this one works much better!!! NO LINES 😉
Alt 248 also works. °O°
I have an HP lap top and it works, I used the numbers on the right hand side, but the only problem I am having is I get a line underneath the ears 🙁 don’t know why
♥ ºoº
It won’t work if you don’t have a separate number pad on your keyboard. The row of numbers at the top of the keyboard have other symbols affiliated with them, so it has to be the actual keypad
