Looking for the big kahuna of snacks at Walt Disney World Resort? Well, look no further than the Polynesian Resort, which has just rolled out two brand new desserts featuring Duffy’s Hawaiian friend ’Olu Mel!
’Olu Mel was originally created to be a mascot at Disney’s Aulani Resort in Hawaii, but now he has decided to pay Orlando a visit just long enough to grace some sweet treats.
The first dessert is an ’Olu Mel Cupcake. It is a chocolate cake with a coconut mousse and a bright mound of buttercream frosting on top. Topped with crispy pearls and a cute white chocolate picture of ’Olu himself, it is quite a bright little cake! Not to mention that nice change of texture from the crispy pearls. It is a sweet cake, and definitely more something for chocolate fans. It costs $5.99 and can be found at Captain Cook’s for a limited time.
The ’Olu Mel Soft Serve is the second dessert. It costs $4.99 at the Pineapple Lanai. This is a lime Dole Whip with a white chocolate ’Olu and crispy pearls. It is garnished with glitter and flowers for an extra tropical look. The lime flavor Dole Whip is particularly tangy and refreshing in the Florida heat!
Find these two sweet treats for a limited time at Disney’s Polynesian Resort. Be sure to say hello to ’Olu Mel before you dig in!
