Two Disney World Theme Parks are Extending Theme Park Hours in October 1

October just got a whole lot more magical at Walt Disney World Resort! Both Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom are giving you more time to enjoy all the enchantment, with extended park hours throughout the month. Whether you’re diving into spooky season at Magic Kingdom or embarking on a wild adventure at Animal Kingdom, there’s more time to experience your favorite rides and shows!

Over at Magic Kingdom, the fun starts early—and I mean really early—on select days! For October 3, 4, 6, 10, 11, 14, 15, 17, and 18, you can roll out of bed and straight into the magic, as the park opens at 8 a.m. instead of the usual 9 a.m. Perfect for grabbing a Dole Whip at breakfast and hopping on Seven Dwarfs Mine Train before the crowds roll in. But don’t forget, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party kicks in at 6 p.m. on those dates, so you’ll still have to say goodbye to the park in time for the spooky festivities!

On October 5, 7, 9, 12, 13, 16, and 19, though, the party goes late! Magic Kingdom will keep its gates open until 11 p.m., giving you two extra hours of nighttime enchantment. Imagine watching the castle twinkle under the stars or enjoying an evening spin on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. There’s nothing quite like the magic of the Kingdom after dark!

Now, let’s talk about Disney’s Animal Kingdom, where the wild side of Disney is getting even wilder! The park will open at 8 a.m. instead of 9 a.m. on October 3, 7, 8, 9, 10, 16, and 17, giving you more time to explore Pandora in the soft morning light or catch a glimpse of the animals on Kilimanjaro Safaris. And on October 4, 5, 6, 12, 13, 14, 15, 18, and 19, you get an extra hour at both ends of the day, with the park open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. It’s the perfect opportunity to soak up every bit of nature’s beauty, from Everest’s towering peaks to the lush jungles of Discovery Island.

And for those visiting on October 11, Animal Kingdom will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., giving you a full 12 hours to experience the magic of nature at night. Whether it’s watching the Tree of Life awaken or taking in the bioluminescent glow of Pandora, you’ll have plenty of time to savor every last moment.

With these extended hours, October is the perfect time to pack even more magic into your Disney day. So, set your alarm, plan your fast passes, and get ready for a roaring good time at Disney’s extended hours this fall!
