TSA Bans "Thermal Detonator" Coca-Cola Bottles from Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge

TSA Bans “Thermal Detonator” Coca-Cola Bottles from Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Bright Suns, Travelers! Before you think of bringing these exclusive Coca-Cola bottles home from your trip to Disneyland or Walt Disney World’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge you may want to rethink how you plan on getting them home.

An inquisitive fan reached out to TSA (Transportation Security Administration) via twitter to see if the specially designed Coca-Cola Bottles that resemble thermal detonators from the Star Wars films would be allowed in their luggage for a flight.

@DarkAshNet asked: “@AskTSA I know these look dodgy, but can they be packed in suitcase? Thanks.” With a promo shot of the bottles.

@AskTSA replied: “Thanks for asking! Replica and inert explosives aren’t allowed in either carry-on or checked bags.”

“Replica items are not allowed on aircraft,” said TSA spokesperson Jim Gregory, “It could create concern that it’s the real thing.”

So if you were planning on visiting Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and wanted to bring a few of these home as collectibles, you may want to look at shipping them home via USPS, FedEx, or UPS, before heading to the airport. If you do decide to pack them don’t be surprised if they are removed from your luggage or if you get stopped by TSA security at screening. They will make you dispose of the bottles and it could cause an unnecessary disturbance or delay in your trip home.

“.”We have a long history with Coca-Cola, dating back to the opening of Disneyland Park and the “Refreshment Corner” on Main Street, U.S.A. in 1955 and it’s a pleasure to continue to work with this amazing team on such a groundbreaking experience,” says Disney about the partnership, “These unique Coca-Cola products were created with storytelling in mind and are unlike anything we’ve done before.”

Though Disney is excited to bring you this one of a kind design, the TSA would appreciate you taking the time to either dispose of the bottles or shipping them home in another fashion prior to your trip to the airport.
