Summer days at Walt Disney World can be hot. And everyone knows that summer lasts well into October in Florida, so we still have a stretch of warm weather ahead of us. My favorite way to beat the heat while at Disney World is the Dole Whip. It’s the penultimate Disney snack and they keep making new flavors that I have to try. Recently we’ve seen a Watermelon Dole Whip at Disney Springs, and now we also get to enjoy that refreshing flavor at EPCOT!

To try this tempting treat, you’ll want to head to Refreshment Outpost, which is just over the bridge after your walk through the China pavilion. It’s the spot where you can grab an all-beef hot dog or Coca-Cola Slushy. But whatever you do, don’t walk by without a Watermelon Dole Whip. You can either get it plain or swirled with Pineapple Dole Whip, and you also have the choice of cup or come.

The flavor of the Watermelon Dole Whip on its own is light and very sweet. I’m not sure I would identify it as watermelon if I were blindfolded, but I loved it all the same. The watermelon and pineapple swirl was my favorite, however. The slight tanginess from the pineapple balances the pure sweetness of the watermelon. Both options are perfect after hoofing it around the World Showcase all afternoon. Eat it fast before it melts though!
