Tron Lightcycle Run construction is making progress. Sections of the canopy are being added to the outdoor arches. Disney’s Shanghai has its own Tron Lightcycle run that opened back with Shanghai Disneyland back in June 2016. The Disney World version was originally due to open back for Disney World’s 50th Anniversary in Fall 2021 but has been delayed to 2022.

The ride is located North of Space Mountain and behind the Tomorrowland Speedway. You can get a sneak peek of the outdoor construction while riding the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover. The Tron Lightcycle Run will have an indoor and outdoor track that will take guests speeds of up to 60 miles per hour. The fastest of any Disney attraction. The ride will feature motorbike-style seats that lean guests forward for a Tron simulated experience.
