One thing we can always count on, when a new Disney Movie is premiering, is a Specialty Cupcake at the Walt Disney World Resort. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 opened this weekend and Baby Groot has certainly become a widely popular character. The Trolley Car Cafe, in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, is now featuring a Baby Groot Cookies ‘n Cream Cupcake.
You can find the Baby Groot Cookies ‘n Cream Cupcake at The Trolley Car Cafe for $5.99. This item can also be used as a Snack Credit under the Disney Dining Plan. One important thing to note here is that the texture and flavor of the cake is more like that of a muffin. As a person who is not a fan of cake, I could appreciate the muffin texture and flavor as i really did enjoy this sweet treat. The Cupcake has a Baby Groot White Chocolate topper standing in a dark chocolate mini cup of green frosting. I was not a fan of the frosting but the dark chocolate cup was tasty. The frosting on this cupcake is more of a whipped cream, thus the “Cream” in Cookies ‘n Cream, as opposed to the thicker frosting we typically see on cupcakes. The lighter flavor, while still very sweet, was good. Dusted over the sides of the frosting are cookie crumbs, thus the “Cookies” in Cookies ‘n Cream, with colorful white chocolate sprinkles on one side to add a bit of flair.
If you are expecting your typical Disney Cupcake with this option you are in for a surprise. This new take, on an old favorite, is sure to be a hit. We highly recommend the Baby Groot Cookies ‘n Cream Cupcake as a fun and tasty snack option.
