The 70th anniversary magic begins even before boarding, as the queue for Toy Story Midway Mania! has been playfully adorned with special decorations. It appears Andy, in his imaginative way, has gotten his hands on a Disneyland 70th Celebration sticker pack and enthusiastically plastered the walls around the beloved talking Mr. Potato Head.
Guests will spot a variety of “70” numerals and “Celebrate Happy” phrases, each sticker boasting a distinctive silver holographic border that catches the light. The “70” stickers come in various sizes, unified by the celebration’s signature purple and blue hues. Adding a touch of celebratory flair, the “Celebrate Happy” stickers are designed as eye-catching starbursts and sparkling diamonds. Notably, “Celebrate Happy” serves as both the official motto and the catchy theme song for Disneyland’s 70th anniversary.

The 70th anniversary overlay kicks off in the practice round of Toy Story Midway Mania!, where characters present targets clearly marked with the “70” logo. A new graphic reinforces the message to shoot these special stickers. As you journey through the various games, keep an eye out for “Celebrate Happy” stickers cleverly integrated into the animated environments, appearing stuck onto different targets. And for a chance at big points with an anniversary twist, any target worth “700” points now displays the “70” sticker instead of the “7” and first “0,” making them prime targets for celebration!
The 70th anniversary stickers are integrated throughout Toy Story Midway Mania!, with some “Celebrate Happy” stickers being obvious and others more hidden, adding a fun element of discovery. Despite maintaining their original themes, all the game scenes now feature these celebratory additions. Physical “Celebrate Happy” and “70” stickers are also present on the ride’s walls, though you’ll have to be quick to spot them amidst the spinning action. Notably, the 700-point targets in the final mineshaft scene now showcase the “70” sticker. To top off the celebration, the digital confetti has been updated to the 70th anniversary’s signature vibrant purple, blue, and yellow.
