Toy Story 4 Projected to Make $140 Million or More During Opening Weekend at the Domestic Box Office. Fans are abuzz as Disney-Pixar’s Toy Story 4 arrives in theaters this weekend, just in time for some Summertime fun at the movies!
According to Variety, the 4th feature-length, CGI film starring our favorite toys come to life, is expected to earn more than $140 Million during the first weekend of the films release.
Toy Story 4 will premiere in over 4,500 theaters across North America and is being released nearly 10 years after Toy Story 3 made it’s way to theaters in 2010. TS4 is predicted to beat the opening weekend of TS3, which premiered with $110 million domestically nearly a decade ago.
Many of the sequels release so far in 2019 including: Men in Black: International, Shaft, and Dark Phoenix, have performed poorly in theaters and were met with horrible ratings by critics. Toy Story 4 seems to be singing a different tune, having won over the hearts of even the most cynical critics, doubtful fans, and even received a 100% fresh rating by Rotten Tomatoes!
