The Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover in Magic Kingdom has not reopened since the parks reopened this summer. The attraction has been closed for refurbishment, but it looks like the wait is almost over. Guests can now see Disney Cast Members testing the PeopleMover vehicles in Tomorrowland!
Guests won’t be able to enjoy a trip around Tomorrowland until at least January 30th.
The Tomorrowland Transit Authority Peoplemover gives guests a 10-minute tour of Tomorrowland. It’s a great ride for guests to cool off on.
During the narrated tour, go behind the scenes of attractions like Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, Space Mountain, and Star Traders retail shop. See architectural models of Progress City, the prototype for Epcot.
Right now the My Disney Experience app shows the refurbishment will last through January 30, 2021.
The reopening date for the PeopleMover has been changed four times since the Disney Parks reopened. Permits have been filed and structural support work has continued on the attraction. Hopefully, this will be the final date change and guests will get to enjoy the attraction again soon!
