Disneyland enthusiasts will be pleased to know that the classic attraction, Tom Sawyer Island, re-opened to visitors on Friday, June 16th. The Island closed in January of 2016 as part of a large expansion that included rerouting the Rivers of America, creating Star Wars Land and tidying up the Disneyland Railroad tracks.
Here’s a Twitter users that shared footage of Jack Sparrow having a stroll through The Pirates Lair on June 16th:

Those paying a visit to Disneyland this Summer will also be pleased to know that much-loved evening spectacular Fantasmic! is slated to start performances again beginning on July 17th. Also on July 29th, the Davy Crockett Explorer Canoes will re-open as will the Mark Twain Riverboat, Columbia Sailing Ship and the Disneyland Railroad!
So next time you’re at the park, be sure to hitch a ride over to Tom Sawyer Island to see if you notice any of the changes that took place during the closure!
