Tom Holland Says 'Spider-Man 3' is Going to be "Insane"

Tom Holland Says ‘Spider-Man 3’ is Going to be “Insane”. Actor Tom Holland recently sat down with Inquirer.net to discuss his role as Ian Lightfoot and his next set of projects, including the third installment in the Spider-Man franchise for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Inquirer asked Holland if there will be a ‘Spider-Man 3’ and if Tom knows what other Marvel movies, if any, he will appear in in the near future. Though he did share there will be a third Spider-Man movie he is unaware of any other Marvel projects he will be a part of.

“Yes is the answer to that question. I’m super happy about it. We will be shooting “Spider-Man 3” in July in Atlanta. As for me showing up in other Marvel movies, I’m not sure as to what they want me to do.”

Tom was also asked if Zendaya will be reprising her role as MJ and possibly as Peter’s Girlfriend in the film. Tom Holland shared, “In “Spider-Man 3,” Zendaya will most definitely be in the film. As to the relationship between Peter and MJ, I’m not too sure what it will be.”

Tom Holland is known to let spoilers loose on occasion, but it appears he is learning to keep a tight lip on his responses, that or Marvel has learned to keep him relatively in the dark about certain aspects to prevent spoiling any good surprises.

Marvel Studios Chief Creative Officer Kevin Feige shared his excitement for another Spider-Man sequel after the theatrical release of Spider-Man: Far From Home and how the focus will be centered on Peter and not some over-the-top event going on around him.

Feige shared, “It’ll be fun to see Spidey back in his element, out of the shadow of Tony, out of the shadow of the other Avengers, as his own man now, as his own hero. And yet now facing his own challenges that aren’t coming from Avengers fighting, like [Captain America: Civil War], or aliens coming, like [Avengers: Infinity War]or [Avengers: Endgame]. It’s all Peter focused and Peter based.”

The film has seen its set backs, including rocky future after negotiations between Sony and Marvel initially ended poorly and it was shared that Spider-Man would no longer be a part of the MCU. Luckily, with the backlash by fans and help from Tom Holland himself, the studios renegotiated and agreed to creating more Spider-Man films together and keep Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (for now).

We can’t wait to see Spider-Man swing back in theaters in July 2021 and are glad to know the cast is ready to get started with filming this summer.
