Tom Hardy Reveals ‘Venom 2‘ Has Begun Production. Tom Hardy originally shared a photo via Instagram with the caption: “W#’R’V3N0M2 day one.” and sitting in a make up trailer getting ready for day 1 on set of Venom 2. Hardy has since deleted the post, but not before Reddit user, /u/MrStark3000, took a screenshot of Hardy’s original post.
Marvel Alum, Andy Serkis (Klaw), is set to direct the film led by Hardy and is reported to be influential in the creation of the story itself, hoping to take Venom and the characters into a new direction.
“I’m right in the beginning stages, so I’ve got some very clear ideas about the journey, [and what] I’d like to see visually, and how we can take the characters into another direction,” Serkis said earlier this year. “I’m excited to work with all the great actors who are involved. It’s a fantastic franchise. I’m really honored to have been asked to direct it. And it feels like it’s a very, again, a very contemporary story. And it’s, I think, going to hopefully be a story piece of cinema.”
Are you excited for Venom 2? Do you hope we get a Spider-Man/Venom crossover? What sort of story should we expect with Andy Serkis at the wheel? We would love to hear your thoughts in the comments! Be sure to check back here at Chip and Company for all things Marvel!
