Tom Hanks and Tim Allen Wrap Recording for Toy Story 4

Disney and Pixar are currently putting the finishes on the latest installment of the Toy Story film series. The first three films are considered some of Pixar’s best and have been cherished by multiple generations. Toy Story 4 is slated to hit screens this summer and the film’s stars marked their final day of recording for the movie. Tom Hanks and Tim Allen both tweeted to recognize the final voice sessions as Woody and Buzz Lightyear respectively.

“Finished my Buzz for Toy Story 4 today and it got emotional.” tweeted Tim Allen, adding, “ Wonderful full body story. You are all going to love the work this incredible team at Pixar created. We are all going to love this story….man its got everything.”

Tom Hanks was feeling equally emotional tweeting, “Final line, final session as Woody of Toy Story 4. We rode like the wind, to infinity and beyond. Hanx”.

The two veteran actors have played the iconic roles of Buzz and Woody since the first Toy Story film in 1995. Over the decades they have reprised their roles in sequels and short films. The franchise has even inspired rides, attractions and a newly opened land at Walt Disney World. The movie features many other actors reprising their roles from the previous films, Like Joan Cusack (Jessie), as well as some new additions to the cast. Actors like Jordan Peele, Keegan-Michael Key (Ducky and Bunny), and Keanu Reeves in a mysterious unnamed role, will add to the ensemble. Toy Story 4 is scheduled to open nationwide on June 21, 2019.
