It is being reported that Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea plan on reducing the number of visitors by about 20% starting this year to provide a better customer experience, less congestion, and lower wait times.

The news was shared on Japan Times where it goes into more detail on the Oriental Land business strategy for 2022 – 2024.

The new policy included in Oriental Land’s business plans for fiscal 2022 to fiscal 2024, is designed to boost revenue by freeing visitors from long lines and offering them opportunities to spend more on dining and shopping at the theme parks.

Oriental Land has also launched a system aimed at encouraging a shift of visitors from weekends, when Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea are more crowded, to weekdays by lowering the price of admission on weekdays and increasing the price on weekends.

In another effort to shorten wait times for attractions, Oriental Land plans on limiting the number of theme park tickets sold daily, the number of tickets has not been disclosed at this time.

Recently Tokyo Disneyland has banned vlogging and live streaming from the Theme Parks in a move that is not going over well with fans.

With all of these changes at Tokyo Disneyland it makes you wonder if any of these changes are going to come to the US.
