As recently announced, Todrick Hall will be co-composing new songs for the all-new “Magic Happens” parade debuting at Disneyland park on Feb. 28. As we previously reported, “Magic Happens” will feature stunning floats, beautiful costumes, beloved Disney characters and an energetic musical score with two original songs co-composed by singer-songwriter Todrick Hall.
Todrick Hall describes his thoughts of co-composing the two new songs and the new parade, “This is such a full-circle moment for me. I learned how to dance watching the Disney parades, so the fact that I am getting to create the music that these iconic characters will be performing to is kinda the most epic thing that has happened to me in my life.”
Disney lovingly describes “Magic Happens” as a parade that will remind us we don’t need wings to fly, shooting stars were made to wish upon, and magic doesn’t stop at midnight.
Throughout the parade guests will see floats featuring Moana on her voyager wa‘a (or canoe) on the crest of a beautiful wave, inspired by beautiful koa wood carvings inset with LED panels, providing a dazzling glimpse into the magic the ocean holds. Guests will also celebrate the magic that happens when Miguel strums the guitar of Ernesto de la Cruz, bridging the Land of the Living and the Land of the Dead with vibrant marigolds.
The grand finale of the “Magic Happens” parade celebrates magical moments from classic Disney stories, including the trio of fairies from “Sleeping Beauty” who transform Princess Aurora’s gown from pink to blue and back again! All led by Mickey and friends.
